See What the Cloud Really Charges to Move Your Data
Every gigabyte your servers send to the internet is billed by AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure. Enter your monthly traffic below and this calculator turns it into a realistic egress estimate at current published rates, then puts it next to the flat monthly price of a dedicated server with True-Unmetered bandwidth. Real numbers, sources included, and you can email the result to yourself or your team.
What Would Your Traffic Cost in the Cloud?
The big clouds bill for every gigabyte that leaves their network. Enter your monthly traffic and compare their egress line item alone with a complete Maple dedicated server on a flat True-Unmetered plan.
Cloud figures are estimates of internet data transfer (egress) charges only, calculated from published pay-as-you-go rates for major EU and US regions as of July 2026, including standard free allowances. Actual cloud bills vary by provider, region, destination, usage mix, and any negotiated or committed-use discounts, and include compute, storage, and other charges not shown here. These figures are provided for comparison purposes only and are not a quote or an offer. Verify current pricing with each provider.
The Maple-Hosting figure is the price of a complete dedicated server including the True-Unmetered plan shown. A month is counted as 30 days, and plan sizing assumes a typical peak-to-average traffic ratio of about 1.4. True-Unmetered plans are measured at the 95th percentile, so short bursts do not affect your bill and there are never per-gigabyte overage charges. If your sustained usage exceeds your plan, an upgrade to a higher plan is required.

How to Reduce Cloud Egress Costs
Offload and Optimize
Cache static content on a CDN and compress aggressively so fewer bytes leave the cloud. Real savings for websites, far less for dynamic, live, or uncacheable traffic, and the meter keeps running.
Go Flat-Rate
Move your egress-heavy workloads (streaming, downloads, game servers, backups) to a Maple dedicated server with True-Unmetered bandwidth. The meter simply goes away.
- One flat monthly price, never billed per GB
- Plans from 1 to 40 Gbps on our AMS-IX network
- The price in the calculator above is the whole story
Negotiate Commitments
At very large spend, private pricing and committed-use discounts exist. They require multi-year lock-in and rarely close a gap this wide.
